Returned Home

My sweet, sweet father passed away early this morning. What a comfort to know he is home and what a glorious reunion that must have been! But, he will be DEARLY missed!!!

Miss Shelley...I'm sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I hope that you know the Lord is mindful of him and you and that you can find comfort with Him.

Shelley, words are meaningless at times like these. But please know that we love you, and our family will be praying for you and your family. Allow that strength to carry you, because it will, we know. And please call me if you need to talk 402-328-3449 I would love to be there for you, because unfortuantely people can't truly know the pain unless they have been there themselves. And it is very painful! We love you.

our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time... you dad was my FAVORITE uncle in law and the only uncle who would hug me every time he saw me. i was just listening to a talk on tape- by Brent Top about the other side... there was a quote in it by Brigham Young that said if we could see it there it would be hard for us to want to be here. i am so excited for your dad and his transition... and sad for you and your transition.
la la love you!!

I'm so sorry Shelley. I have tears in my eyes as I read this today. You're dad was a remarkable man and meant a lot to so many people ... our family included. I will be praying for you. Thank you for sharing your faith and spirit on your blog. Some people hesitate to put that stuff out there in cyberspace, but your enduarnce is inspiring and I love hearing from you.

Shell...I love you so much. I've thought a lot about our Thursday together with your dad. What a sacred experience that was. I agree, "what a comfort to know he is home and WHAT A GLORIOUS REUNION THAT MUST HAVE BEEN." They're just getting it ready for the rest of us:). Talk to you soon.

Shelley,

I was so sorry to hear about your dad. He was such a wonderful man! Sometimes there are people in your life that are just an inspiration, and he was one for me. He was my principal and my bishop at different times in my life. It is hard to imagine a world without him in it.

I'm sure you are feeling his loss so keenly right now. You and your family are in my prayers. It sounds like you are coping so well, just as you have through your other trials. I know that the Lord will look after you and that happy times will come for you again.

You know we love you, and even though we are really sorry for what happened, we are really thankful for being part of your extended family and having had the privilege to meet someone like your dad.
There is a book I have never read, however it's title always sounded peculiar to me. It is "getting to heaven on a harley." I absolutely picture uncle Stephen doing something like that!!!
I hope you are doing better.
